FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS (CLICK HERE FOR DETAILED SCHEDULE)

1. Join us for an orientation and meet the celebrated master artists followed by a reception/buffet for all participants and VIP guests.

2. Observe daily rehearsals as our master artists prepare for the final American Masterworks Festival Concert on Saturday. Tickets to this and all concerts included in participants fee.

3. Sit in on daily rehearsals as each individual artist prepares for their evening solo recital.

4. Take a daily swim in the ocean or dive into the nightlife at world-famous South Beach, just steps from your hotel and SoBe Arts.

5. Participate in daily master classes for advanced student violinists, violists and cellists with internationally renowned string artists Kim Kashkashian, Lara St. John, Matt Haimovitz and Anastasia Khitruk.

6. Attend daily demonstration/lectures given by one artist each day.

7. Enjoy nightly recitals given by each of our master artists.

8. Be our guest for nightly post-concert receptions.

9. Participate in a special Friday talk/discussion given by our celebrated composer-in-residence just for festival participants.

10. Perform in a Saturday afternoon concert to showcase the music you have been working on in your masterclasses. Open to all participants, master artists, composer-in-residence and special guests.

11. VIP seating at Saturday's evening performance in the Colony Theater on South Beach's famous Lincoln Road, with a pre-concert talk by John Corigliano followed by the American Masterworks Festival Concert Finale.

12. Celebrate the conclusion of the Festival at a VIP closing reception.

STEP 1. To apply for an advanced string residency send a dvd or url link (Youtube) with 20-30 minutes of playing examples. Send DVD to SoBe Institute of the Arts, Attn: String Residency, 2100 Washington Avenue, Miami Beach, Fl. 33139 or send url link with your name and contact information to events@sobearts.org. Alternately, if you are recommended by one of our master teachers, and noted in the application, playing example will not be required.

Participation Fee: $850

Passive Attendee Fee: $500.

STEP 3. Pay $250 non-refundable deposit to ensure participation in the advanced player student festival program (limited to 40 players worldwide). Balance must be received by December 4:

STEP 4. Arrange for hotel accomodations: Shore Club South Beach (Festival Hotel) Beautiful Luxury Hotel on the beach. Special heavily discounted rate for Festival Participants. After registering and paying tuition call the SoBe Arts office for special festival hotel booking codes.
